- Veelal wordt met een connected voertuig een voertuig bedoeld dat via cellulaire technologie (bijvoorbeeld 3G, 4G, 5G) communiceert en niet via ITS-G5 technologie. Dit is echter niet altijd het geval en hybride (beide technologieën) is ook mogelijk.
